This is a MyProjectorLamps branded lamp replacement, however, the bulb inside is identical to the one in the Sony OEM. We use OEM PHILIPS, USHIO, and OSRAM factory bulbs in our SONY lamp modules and they will provide identical performance to the Sony boxed version since the bulb is the same.

My projector is a VPL-VW520 not a VPL-VW520ES, are they the same projectors? What does the ES mean? Asked by George S. On Dec 27, 2021
While the Sony VPL-VW520 and Sony VPL-VW520ES are slightly different projectors, with variations in voltage and they are the American and European models, they use the same lamp and module. They have the same lamp ID, the Sony LMP-H280.
